According to CFA, world’s 10 most popular breeds and popular cat names are Exotic Shorthair, Ragdoll, British Shorthair, Persian, Maine Coon, American Shorthair, Scottish Fold, Sphynx, Abyssinian and Devon Rex. CFA has recognized 42 cats from which popular cat names and information are below.

1. Exotic Shorthair
Exotic Shorthair cat is the most popular in popular cat names breed and they had developed as a short hair version of the Persian.
They are similar to Persian such as temperament, conformation, a flat nose and face. But their coat is not short and dense.
In the year 1950, some American Shorthair breeders used Persian as a outcross. And this breeding done in the secret due to improving the body type of exotic shorthair.
And the breeders have successfully created a new breed. But this breed had disqualified American Shorthairs because this breed shows the sign of cross-breeding.
